I accept that evidence is greater than opinion.

I will not knowingly publish conclusions unsupported by the public record.

I will disclose limitations rather than conceal them.

I will welcome correction when supported by stronger evidence.

I will preserve the historical record rather than rewrite it.

I will not selectively apply standards because of ideology, popularity, or personal preference.

I will remember that transparency is not a weakness but a safeguard.

I will protect the independence of this institution from political, financial, or personal influence.

I will treat every published claim as a public responsibility.

I will measure my work not by how many people agree with it, but by how easily an independent citizen can verify it.
